So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
After Generating the Setup
After your installation wizard generates a setup routine, test it. To test the routine, run the setup program to make sure that no bugs appear and the final application runs smoothly on the computer.
Tip
Test the setup routine on a computer that has never contained your application and has never run Visual Studio. This helps ensure that your application installs properly on users'computers. Some business copier centers allow you to rent a PC; if you are allowed to install new software on such a computer, this is a good candidate.
The simplest way to test the generated setup routine is to choose Run from the Windows Start menu and find the Setup.exe file. Click the Run button to start the application's setup. A typical ...
