Agile teams use reflections to identify problems, discuss solutions, and brainstorm on actions. (See Chapter 11, “Continuous Improvement,” for more on reflections.) For stop the line behavior, agile teams should use reflections as a tool to review their behavior when it comes to blocking issues. Ask the following questions as part of your reflections:
• Was the root cause of a blocking issue eliminated? If not, why not?
• If the root cause was not eliminated, how is the team going to deal with the same problem in the future? (“Pay me now or pay me more later.”)
• Is there a set of problem types that occur over and over? (If so, these are good candidates for applying stop the line thinking.)
