AMAR BHIDE is a visiting professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago, on leave from the Harvard Business School. He is a former senior manager at McKinsey & Company and vice president for proprietary trading at E. F. Hutton. Professor Bhide also served on the staff of the Brady Commission, which investigated the stock market crash of 1987. Among Professor Bhide's publications are Of Politics and Economic Reality, eight Harvard Business Review articles, and several articles in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the LA Times.
