I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Kubernetes architecture and services
Kubernetes is an open source project spearheaded by Google. It attempts to implement some of the tried-and-tested ideas that were implemented in its own internal container orchestration system called Borg. Kubernetes architecture is composed of two components: the master and minion nodes. The master nodes have the following components:
- Controller: To manage the nodes, replicas, and services
- API Server: To provide REST endpoints used by the kubectl client and the minion nodes
- Scheduler: To decide where a particular container must be spawned
- Etcd: To store the state of the cluster and configurations
The minion nodes contain two components:
