So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Raising an event on data updates
When an insert, delete, or update operation happens, it is important for the golden source system to broadcast the change, so that a lot of downstream actions can happen. This includes:
- Cache clearance by dependent systems.
- Update of the local data models in the system.
- Doing further business processing, for example, sending emails to interested customers on the addition of a new product.
