So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Authentication and authorization
REST services use a role-based membership for each exposed method when appropriate and provide the ability to independently enable GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE based on any number of specific roles.
Typically, this concern should be handled at the API gateway level. You should not be handling this as part of the service.
