Utilities for Working with Services
Four tools are invaluable when you are programming and working with services. These are the Administrative Tools Services applet, the Diagnostic utility, the Service Controller, and the Event Viewer.
Administrative Tools Services Applet
The Services applet enables you to start, stop, pause, unpause, and configure all the installed services on the machine. You can start the Services applet from the Windows 2000 Administrative Tools. Figure 10.3 shows the main dialog of the Services applet.
