I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
The sample application developed in this chapter is, at best, trivial. Aren't you glad? You focused on building a highly scalable, stateless COM+ component, and it was a snap. This is exactly what COM+ is all about. You write the business logic, and COM+ handles the high-end, mainframe-style performance and robustness issues. If COM+ wasn't easy to use, it would be far less valuable. The real trick is adjusting your brain to focus on matters of state. The most important things to take away from this chapter are the concept of state, behavior, and interface separation, along with the scalability guidelines of the COM+ system.
