I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring MTS
There are normally two types of environments for MTS: production and development. When configuring the server in a production environment, you might want to restrict the users who can modify properties for a component. MTS provides a system package that you can configure to restrict access to various features in the server. This package has two predefined roles: Administrator and Reader. However, these two roles do not have any users assigned to them. In a production environment, you will want to assign users to these roles and ensure that security is turned on for this package.
To make sure that security is active, do the following:
Start MTS Explorer.
In the left pane, open the Packages Installed folder under My Computer. ...
