Chapter 14

Introduction to Conscious Leadership

The book Conscious Capitalism describes what conscious leadership is and how you can cultivate some of the attributes of conscious leaders. Now, however, we will highlight three additional points. The first is the vital question “Why should you be a leader?” Second, good leadership remains as essential as, if not more than, ever before, even though people have become far more capable at an individual level. Finally, we have a deeper understanding of the need to blend what have been traditionally called masculine and feminine qualities so that each of us—men and women alike—can lead as a whole person rather than as fragmented beings.
