The Isospatial Grid
These early GP/L-system experiments interpret the phenotypes within a two- or
three-dimensional isospatial grid (see Figure 11.3), rather than the Cartesian
grid traditional in CAD packages (Broughton, Coates, and Jackson 1998). The
isospatial grid consists of a point and its 12 equidistant neighbors, thus removing
