It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

However, of greater interest here is applying conventional designs to uncon-
ventional applications, where the GA has enough degrees of freedom to sig-
nificantly change the mode of operation of the antenna to suit the new applica-
tion. Two such examples will be described here, which apply Yagi-Uda antennas
in unconventional roles. In this manner, the GA begins to show some (though
only a small portion) of its innovative capability.
