A temperature scale in which the melting point of ice is specified as
32˚F and the boiling point of water at 212˚F. It is widely used in the United States and
the United Kingdom as a reference for ambient or local weather temperatures but is
not usually applied in technical or scientific work. This scale, which is the oldest in
use, was named after Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit, who first introduced it during the
early 1700s.
Feed-forward technique:
A design technique invented in 1969 by Robert Dobkin,
who was then working at National Semiconductor, which enables op amps to achieve
a higher slew rate and bandwidth.
