The examples in Figure 11.8A (a precision current sink) and 11.8B (a precision cur-
rent source) both provide a constant current with a grounded load. They use a similar
configuration to the previous circuits, except for the added JFET cascode, which does
a better job of biasing the voltage reference than the resistor in the previous circuits.
While the JFET cascode provides a constant current for the voltage reference IC, it
