It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Fallback status point
Fallback status point is a server role that allows you to collect data about the ConfigMgr client installation's progress as well as issues about assigning clients to sites and communication with the management point. For these reasons, this role is always highly recommended for installation.
Depending on where the role is installed, the administrators need to pick the Add Site System Roles or Create Site System Server option in the wizard and choose Fallback status point as a role to be installed. The configuration of this role is fairly easy and comes down to choosing values for two options--how many communications the role should process, and in what time intervals.
