Console reports
ConfigMgr has always provided the ability to run reports for managed environments. Since ConfigMgr 2007, there have been a lot of important changes.
The most important change, introduced in ConfigMgr 2007 R3, was the ability of running reports using Reporting Services, and since ConfigMgr 2012, there is no other way to run them. Thanks to this, the ConfigMgr server does not have performance issues, and there is no limitation on the number of rows that can be viewed. Unfortunately, as a result of these changes, creating reports is not as easy as it used to be.
