Conclusions and synthesis
12.1 Introduction
The goals of this book were to present a state-of-the-science summary
of the topic of training and instructional design for older adults and to
present some basic principles and guidelines regarding “best practices”
for designing training and instructional programs for older people. As
demonstrated by the wealth of material presented in the previous chap-
ters, the topic of training and instructional design is very broad, and thus
