“REALLY SIMPLE

Syndication” is a revolution that is making the

distribution of information easier than ever before. Things have

changed since the twentieth century, when a newspaper article, a TV

broadcast, or a book was defined as much by its format as by its con-

tent. Today RSS extracts underlying information (usually a text-based

article) and allows it to be easily reformatted and shared in other for-

mats and on other delivery platforms. The spread of RSS and similar

cross-platform “feeds” is even harmonizing the quagmire of compati-

bility problems presented by PC vs. Mac, Internet Explorer vs. Firefox
