A widget is a graphic unit that displays small portions of your
site or information on other sites. These can be spread virally
by consumer self-adoption or placed on other sites as paid-for
ad placements. Examples include feeding your latest blog
posts, press release headlines, sale announcements, product
pictures, or even local weather to display in branded graphic
elements on other web sites.
Some widgets are merely promotional, such as those that syn-
