Search by Seller

There are some easy ways to find items sold by a particular seller.

If for no other reason than to save money on shipping costs, you may find yourself wanting to purchase multiple items from a single seller. Although you can’t specify a particular seller when typing into a basic search box, there are three other ways to search among a seller’s current (or completed) auctions.

View Seller’s Other Items

Probably the first thing that occurred to you is to just use the “View seller’s other items” link on the auction page. If so, give yourself a gold star. This is typically the easiest way to search by seller because you can see an up-to-date listing of all the seller’s current auctions.

What you’ll see here is a standard search results page, filtered to show only current listings offered by the seller. At this point, you can specify some search terms [Hack #10] or choose a category [Hack #12] to narrow the search, which is particularly useful if the seller is offering several thousand items at the same time.

In the Search Options box to your left, there’s a checkbox labeled “Items from Seller” right next to a textbox with the seller’s member ID. As you might expect, you can broaden your search and show listings from all sellers by turning off the checkbox, or show the items offered by a different seller by typing the seller’s ID in the box.
