Planning is done in two separate phases of the Iterative SDPM strategy for the Dynamic Systems Development Method.
In the Feasibility Study Phase, there is a one-time planning activity to outline the project plan at a high level.
During the Business Study Phase, additional information was gathered and used to update the Outline Plan.

The Outline Plan is an additional check on the feasibility of the project. The Outline Plan focuses on the development aspects of the project. The question to be answered is “Is the development of this solution likely to be successful?” or in other words, “Can we do what we say we are going to do?” A further question is, “Is the Dynamic Systems Development Method the appropriate approach for this project?”
