AmbientLight
AmbientLight is the simplest way to make your scene visible. It isn't actually a light, really, but it does light up everything in the scene.
Lighting in the real world is very complex. Photons bounce all around, reflect off of objects, penetrate into them, and even make some objects glow (fluorescence and luminescence). A useful trick is to make objects light up even if there are no lights or to add a light fill to the room that can help simulate background light scattering, without the overhead of calculating this.
