So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Alerting routes
A route, in its essence, can be seen as a tree-like structure. If an incoming alert has a specific payload that triggers a particular route (branch), a pre-defined integration will be invoked.
There are multiple out-of-the-box integrations available for the most common use cases, such as the following:
- Hipchat
- PagerDuty
- Slack
- Opsgenie
- VictorOps
There's also the webhook integration that issues an HTTP POST request with the JSON payload of the firing alert to an endpoint of your choosing, opening a world of possibilities for custom integrations.
