It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Functions
PromQL has almost 50 different functions for a variety of use cases, such as math; sorting; counter, gauge and histogram manipulation; label transformations; aggregations over time; type conversions; and finally, date and time functions. In the following sections, we'll cover some of the most commonly used ones and provide examples on why they are so relevant.
