Using the swish technique
1  Sit somewhere quietly where you can relax on your own for a
short time.
2  Bring to mind the negative experience – this will bring up
the negative feelings as well, but go along with the exercise
knowing that it will have an excellent outcome for you.
3  Bring the picture right in front of you and put a mental frame
around it.
4  Make it big and make it bright, turning up any sounds you
can hear and being aware of the negative sensations you are
experiencing.
5  Now put this image to one side for a moment – you will need
it again soon.
