8.10 Verifying WebSphere Portal in the three-tier
environment
Now we can verify our test runtime environment as a whole.
Start by powering on the machine, and then complete these steps:
1. Power on all three machines.
2. Log in as
root in machine 3, and check that the Oracle server is started. If not,
use the dbstart command to start it.
3. Log in as
root in machine 2, and do the following:
a. Change the working directory to /opt/iplanet/servers.
b. Use the command startconsole to start the Sun ONE Directory Server.
c. Change the working directory to /opt/WebSphere/AppServer/bin and ...
