F.1.4 Adding a second IP address to the network adapter for

machine 2

In our test environment, we have three machines. Each machine has only one

Ethernet adapter. In order to emulate the multi-tier environment and without the

firewall for the IP translation, for machine 2, we added another IP address.

Here is the method to add the second IP in machine 2.

In machine 1, we’ve already configured the IP for the Ethernet as follows:

򐂰 Fully qualified host name : sun2.itso.ral.ibm.com

򐂰 IP : 9.24.105.47

We use the following method to add the another IP:

򐂰 Fully qualified host name : machine2.itso.ora.ibm.com
