12.4 Portal migration process
In this section, we will continue with our example of migrating from Portal 4.2.1 to
Portal 5.
12.4.1 Running the migration steps
Before running the migration tasks, do the following:
1. On machine 1, make sure WebSphere Portal V4.2.1 is up and running.
2. On machine 3, make sure WebSphere Portal V5.0 is up and running.
3. On machine 3, open a command prompt and change to the migration
directory (C:\WebSphere\PortalServer).
