10.2 Getting started with Portal navigation
The user interface in WebSphere Portal V5 has significantly changed compared
to WebSphere Portal V4.x. In this section, we will learn how to navigate and
prepare for WebSphere Portal administration.
10.2.1 Portal states
The behavior of the portal is explained using a model with three states.
Model state
Model state displays what is available for viewing when you access the portal via
