It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
US Congressional Bill –Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity Improvement Act of 2017
IoT security has received attention from various governments. A bipartisan bill (S.1691 – Internet of Things IoT Cybersecurity Improvement Act of 2017 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/1691/text)) was introduced in the Senate on August 1, 2017. The bill's intent is to formalize and regulate the minimal security standards that must be met for internet-connected devices to be sold to US federal agencies. While the bill has yet to become law, the provisions clearly show the degree of regulation for IoT security that is being considered.
