Fog Computing versus Edge Computing versus cloud computing

We have already defined edge computing as moving processing close to where data is being generated. In the case of IoT, an edge device could be the sensor itself with a small microcontroller or embedded system capable of WAN communication. Other times, the edge will be a gateway in architectures with particularly constrained endpoints hanging off the gateway.
