I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The road ahead
In this age of uncertainty any attempt to develop a scenario of the future is fraught with difficulties. Nevertheless, because there are already some observable trends and indicators it is possible to paint a picture of the challenges that lie ahead for supply chain management and also to suggest some possible ways of meeting those challenges.
‘Doing more with less’ will increasingly become the mantra of organisations that seek to survive in a resource-constrained world. Eco-efficiency considerations, as we highlighted in Chapter 17, will drive many supply chain decisions, as companies seek to reduce both their use of scarce resources and their costs.
