When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing & Uninstalling Widgets
You can customize Dashboard by adding or removing widgets.
Additional widgets are available on Apple’s Dashboard Web site, http://dashboard.apple.com. You may also be able to find widgets on shareware distribution Web sites and on Web sites for third-party vendors.
In many instances, the widget will come with its own installer, so all you have to do to install it is open the installer file. If the widget did not come with an installer, you can install it by dragging its widget file—which may display the .wdgt file extension— file into the Widgets folder in the Library folder on your hard disk (Figure 48). You should then be able to find the newly installed widget on the Widget Bar.
