Synopsis

create_nidb [tag [master_hostname [root_dir]]

Creates and populates an Open Directory database from the contents of flat files in /etc. This may be especially useful if you have configuration information you wish to carry over from another Unix system. Currently create_nidb makes use of the following files:

/etc/master.passwd
/etc/group
/etc/hosts
/etc/networks

create_nidb should be run with root privileges.

Options

master_hostname

root_dir

The directory in which /var/db/netinfo/tag.nidb will be created. The default is /.

tag

The tag of the Open Directory database. The default is local.
