- Adjust the amount of time my system needs to be idle before the screensaver kicks in?
System Preferences → Screen Effects → Activation
- Quickly activate my screensaver when I know I’ll be away from my desk for a while?
System Preferences → Screen Effects → Hot Corners; mark a corner of the screen with a check mark to activate the screensaver when the mouse is moved to that corner. Likewise, you can place a minus sign in a Hot Corner to disable the screensaver when the mouse is moved there.
