APM Principles
To be sustainable in the face of change, any methodology needs two solid anchors: At its base, it needs a simple but unchanging core of principles and values; in application, it should allow flexible practices that are adaptable to changing environments and circumstances. With this understanding, APM builds on CAS concepts to derive these core foundational principles:
Foster alignment and cooperation. People are considered the primary agents driving value, change, learning, and adaptation. Shared vision keeps people aligned and acting toward common goals. When people are in alignment, they eschew competition and cooperate to work with each other for mutual gain.
