So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
After installing Windows Server 2003, you have some important configuration steps to perform. These tasks include enabling remote administration, verifying that the operating system and all devices are properly installed, checking and possibly changing the server’s network settings, as well as configuring storage devices on the server. You also need to set up the server to fulfill its intended role on the network, which is made easier by the useful Configure Your Server Wizard. The last part of a server’s post-installation shakedown is modifying the server’s performance and memory options, installing the latest Windows updates and securing the server.
