I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring Shares and Permissions
Shared resources are folders, files, printers, devices, or programs that are made available to users over a network. Permissions are rules controlling access to shared resources.
On an NTFS volume, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, like Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft Windows NT Server before it, allow for extremely granular security. Permissions of various types can be set, including permissions on individual files. This presents quite a temptation to the administrator with a tendency toward micromanagement. Do not yield to temptation. Start with the least restriction possible and add restrictions only when required.
