Active Directory is a major part of the Windows Server 2003 enterprise network infrastructure, and planning, deploying, and maintaining it is a major part of the network administrator’s burden. Learning to use the Active Directory tools included with Windows Server 2003 makes it possible to create and maintain a directory service infrastructure that is efficient and largely self-regulating. With Active Directory solidly in place, you can move on to other administrative responsibilities, which are discussed in following chapters. Chapter 15 covers network addresses and Internet protocols.
