Restoring the Terminal Application

To restore your application back to its original state, delete the modified version of your Terminal application in /Applications/Utilities. Rename Terminal copy to Terminal, and you’re set. As you recall, the copy stored an unmodified version of your application; by renaming it to Terminal, it becomes the standard Terminal application. If desired, change the ownership back to the root user with the command sudo chown root:admin Terminal.app.
