Configuring and Using Node Manager

As we discussed in Chapter 2, node manager is a management agent installed as part of the WebLogic Server installation process. Node manager can be configured on each machine hosting WebLogic Server instances to provide remote management and diagnostics capabilities. Although the Administration Console alone can be used to remotely shut down the servers, only through the configuration of node manager can one remotely start the managed servers of a domain.
