If you want to do your own printing, you can print directly from the Elements Editor. You can print only one photo at a time from the Editor, but at least you don't have to switch to the Organizer every time you want to print a photo. (Printing multiple photos, like contact sheets, is handled by the Organizer, as explained later in this chapter.)
Before you actually print your photos, for the best results, you need to check the settings in two windows: the Page Setup dialog box, and the Elements Print window.
The Page Setup window is the same for all the programs you have on your computer. It's where you set your page size and orientation (portrait or landscape) and tell the computer which printer you want to use, if you have more than one printer.
You get to Page Setup by going to File → Page Setup. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+P or click the Page Setup button on the Elements Print window (explained later).
In Page Setup, start by choosing the correct printer by clicking the Printer button. Next, in the main Page Setup window, choose the paper size you want and the orientation (portrait or landscape). When you've selected these settings, you're ready to go to the Elements Print window.
Element's Print window is your control center for printing from Elements. It offers you lots of ways to tweak your prints, from simply positioning your photo correctly to making very sophisticated color adjustments.
