2 Installation

At the beginning ... there is the installation. PHP runs on almost every system, and although there are differences in the setup, the basic configuration is very similar on all systems.

Most forum questions about a piece of technology revolve around its installation. PHP is no different. There were even times when it was worse than with comparable scripting languages. However, there is now a revised (English) installation guide. In this book, the installation takes up a lot of space so that you can get started quickly on each of the three most important systems and have no problems later in the chapters.
