It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
4 PHP Language Basics
This chapter begins with the syntax of PHP and shows you how to program with PHP. It is a good reference for advanced readers if individual constructs are unclear.
PHP is not difficult to learn. This promise is at the beginning of a comprehensive introduction to the language, which will shed light on all essential aspects of the language. You will find many small, simple pieces of code. This means that you can quickly look up individual facts later on and delve deeper and deeper into PHP.
