It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Forms are an important way, if not the most important way, to carry out some form of communication between a website’s visitor and the website itself. Reason enough to take a closer look at the control of PHP.
When it comes to learning HTML, forms often play a rather minor role. We also notice this in training courses: participants often have in-depth knowledge of HTML, but if you ask about the specifics of the form elements, you are met with questioning faces.
This raises two questions: Why are HTML forms generally not considered very important, and why do we put so much emphasis on this topic in this (very extensive) chapter?
