There are several different methods of implementing teaming. The available methods will vary from
operating system to operating system, but can be categorized into the following three types:
• Active/passive This method of teaming provides protection only against link
failure, and actually does not increase bandwidth in any way. If the operating
system or drive only supports this method, implement Data Interface Pairing
instead.
• Link aggregation (802.3ad) This is the formal IEEE method of implementing
