Remote Office (RO) Deployments
One of the environments targeted for use by deduplication solutions is the situation that requires the
deployment of backups to non-central or remote locations. There are three types of remote office (RO)
deployments:
• Office
• Regional site
• Remote datacenter
The RO environment has a small number of servers to be protected, possibly even just desktops. No
type of IT SME is locally available to troubleshoot any issues that occur in the environment. These
