Exchange can also be recovered using the replay of logs to perform a recovery to the last mail
transaction committed to the server. This type of recovery is called a no loss restore within CommVault.
However, this restore type makes the assumption that all logs required for a replay from a particular
point in time are available and online, ready for use. But why would the logs not be available—shouldn't
all the logs simply be on the backup? Not necessarily. If a database backup was taken at 10 PM, and a
failure happened at 10 AM the next morning, in order for the database to be recovered using a no loss
recovery, the logs that were generated from the time of the backup until 10 AM would have to ...
