It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What matters while choosing such boards
There are plenty of microcontroller- and processor-based boards available in the market today that are feature-rich and advantageous in their own ways. They usually depend on what the application demands. Some of the specifications to look out for in microcontroller boards are as follows:
- Microcontroller type
- Number of digital and analog I/Os
- Memory
- Clock speed
- Operating voltage
- Current per volt
Some of the specifications to look out for in microprocessor boards are as follows:
- SoC
- CPU and GPU
- Memory (RAM and ROM)
- GPIO
- Networking support
- USB ports
