When involved at the onset, the focus of consultants for many implementations revolves around developing strategy and aligning the organization's resources with its strategy. Consultants can often add value in developing processes for updating scorecard content with automated data feeds from various organizational systems. Using consultants makes sense, particularly for organizations that lack the availability of in‐house expertise.
